Location

The wind farm is located on Mountlucas bog, which consists of 1,100 hectares of cutaway Peatlands near Daingean, Co. Offaly. The Mountlucas bog forms part of the Derrygreenagh group of bogs that straddles the counties of Kildare, Offaly and Westmeath.

In 2017, Bord na Móna installed the Learning Hub in Mountlucas Wind Farm.  The Learning Hub is a hands-on, fun, educational area where students and teachers can explore and learn more about renewable energy.

The Learning Hub is located approximately 1 hour from other tourism sites in Co. Offaly including Birr Castle, Charleville Castle, Clara Bog Visitor Centre and Lough Boora Parklands.

The Learning Hub is  located approximately 15km south west of Edenderry and 25km east of Tullamore.
