About Us
Bord na Móna manages and operates a portfolio of thermal and renewable generation assets consisting of the Edenderry Power Station, Cushaling Peaking Plant, Bellacorick, Bruckana and Mountlucas Wind Farms and Drehid Landfill Gas Facility.
We also have a number of joint venture wind farms: Sliabh Bawn Wind Farm (JV partners Coillte and Green Coat Renewables) and Oweninny Wind Farm Phase 1 (JV partner ESB).
The most recent additions to the portfolio have been the Mountlucas and Bruckana Wind Farms. These have made a significant contribution to our renewable electricity portfolio as more than 50% of the electricity we generate now comes from renewable resources.
We are developing wind energy and other renewable energy assets to reduce Ireland’s dependency on energy imports and provide the renewable energy supply required by many major international companies located in Ireland.
